This is the third album of Tri Yann “Suite gallaise”. I think it is one of the fundamentals of his discography, and perceived a change in the way of facing the music. I also think that this is the last of his pure folk LP cut, and that he would be the turn discography to “Urba” (the critics dubs it the best).
Returning to “Suite gallaise”, I recommend listening to “De La Blanche Biche Complainte” and “Don Cad E Without you Without” by the brilliant french-breton folk.

The Last American Virgin is a 1982 American coming-of-age film, a remake of the Israeli film Eskimo Limon (1978).
After the success of the original and several sequels, writer/director Boaz Davidson re-teamed with producers Golan-Globus to attempt to re-create the same success in the United States. Davidson decided to change a few key elements from the original. Eskimo Limon was a nostalgia film about kids growing up in 1950s Israel — similar to George Lucas’s American Graffiti, however the remake was set in then-present-day suburban Los Angeles. The soundtrack was also updated from golden oldies to more contemporary New Wave rock.

Night of the Living Dead is a 1968 independent horror film and cult film directed by George A. Romero, starring Duane Jones, Judith O’Dea and Karl Hardman. It premiered on October 1, 1968, and was completed on a US$114,000 budget. After decades of cinematic re-releases, the film was a financial success, grossing $12 million domestically and $18 million internationally. Night of the Living Dead was heavily criticized during its release because of its explicit content, but received critical acclaim and was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry as a film deemed “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant.” The film entered the public domain due to an error by the distributor.
The filmmakers for Night of the Living Dead went with cues from Capital Hi-Q 1950′s Production Music Library. In 1982, Varèse Sarabande compiled the various cues used, added some dialogue bits and released it as an LP soundtrack. This has never seen an official CD release.

The day I heard these 3 musicians, I was literally “combed back.” Is that this concert became part of the essential (long before fashion “unplugged”).
Somehow John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucía, became my heroes (and many).
Certainly they kept together in another job, but without the same impact. I also had the opportunity to see them live, and I must confess that I left a little disappointed, as Al Di Meola used much pedal and sound effects that took away all warmth to guitars.
Anyone who has attended this concert must have been impressed at the time.

Halloween II is a 1981 Horror film directed by Rick Rosenthal, and written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. It is the second installment in the Halloween series and is a direct sequel to Halloween set on the same night of October 31, 1978 as the seemingly unkillable Michael Myers continues to follow his intended victim (his sister) Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) to a nearby hospital while Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) is still in pursuit of his patient. Stylistically, Halloween II reproduces certain key elements that made the original Halloween a success, such as first-person camera perspectives and unexceptional settings. The sequel was a box office success, grossing over $25.5 million in the United States.

“Mother Focus” is the fifth studio album by the band Focus, released in 1975. The album marks a departure from the progressive rock style that dominated the band’s prior work, to a poppier, often funky influenced direction.
Let’s hear another side of Focus; less “proggy” and “excitement”, but this is for sure a beautiful album with tasteful and enjoyable music!

Day of the Dead is a 1985 horror film written and directed by George A. Romero and the third film in Romero’s Dead Series, being preceded by Night of the Living Dead (1968) and Dawn of the Dead (1978). Romero describes the film as a “tragedy about how a lack of human communication causes chaos and collapse even in this small little pie slice of society”. This film features Sherman Howard in an early appearance as Bub, and make-up artist Gregory Nicotero playing Pvt. Johnson and doing the make-up effects.
The soundtrack was released on LP and cassette in the same year as the film by Saturn Records. It contained 6 tracks, all of which was composed and performed by John Harrison. The vocals came from Sputzy Sparacino who is the lead singer of Modern Man and Delilah on the tracks “If Tomorrow Comes” and “The World Inside Your Eyes”. The album was re-issued in 2002 by Numenorean Records as a limited edition CD. The new edition was limited to 3000 copies and contained the original album plus five additional tracks from the music and effects reel (the only surviving recording of the film score). It also included a 12 page booklet with information from Harrison and Romero regarding the score.

Dawn of the Dead (also known as Zombi internationally) is a 1978 horror film written and directed by George A. Romero. It was the second film made in Romero’s Living Dead series, but contains no characters or settings from Night of the Living Dead, and shows in a larger scale the zombie epidemic’s apocalyptic effects on society. In the film, a pandemic of unknown origin has caused the reanimation of the dead, who prey on human flesh, which subsequently causes mass hysteria.
The cast features David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger and Gaylen Ross as survivors of the outbreak who barricade themselves inside a suburban shopping mall.
