Having solidified his reputation as one of Brazil’s most promising new acts while garnering an international fanbase, Felipe Puperi aka Tagua Tagua returns with a new EP – ‘Todo Tempo’.
Dialing back the psych element in his sound, the six tracks contained
on the EP showcase the tenderness and longing in Felipe’s voice coupled with his immense songwriting talent. What’s resulted is all new arrangements recorded solely on his acoustic guitar with minimal production as he carefully and lovingly re-imagines 6 standout tracks from his debut album ‘Inteiro Metade’ (Costa Futuro) and his last LP, ‘Tanto’ (Wonderwheel Recordings). Todo Tempo is being released by Wonderwheel Recordings in conjunction with Costa Futuro.

This second volume of solo piano from Grew comes hot on the heels of his 2023 Discus Music release “Chasm”, also for solo piano. Lumas Winds presents The Naming of Birds, an album illustrating the development of the British wind quintet, starting in the 1960s, and finishing in the early 21st century, exploring one piece from each decade. The group comments: “This album is designed to serve as a point of accessibility for these works, especially the three world-premiere recordings by Sally Beamish, Gavin Higgins and Elizabeth Maconchy. We have always been drawn to performing fresh and exciting music that is rarely heard or performed but have found programming new works can be difficulty without knowing how the sound will complement or contrast the rest of the concert. We hope this recording will provide a reference point for future ensembles, encouraging them to programme these works. We have reflected the diverse British identities of the Lumas Winds members in our choices. Welshman William Mathias’ Wind Quintet is the earliest work on the disc and was one of the first pieces we chose for this programme.” Lumas Winds is a dynamic young wind quintet based in London, comprised of recent graduates for the Royal Academy and the Royal College of Music, the members of Lumas are committed ambassadors for wind chamber music and the rich variety of repertoire that it offers.
